We last left with a loaf of orange cranberry bread. this effort was completely selfish - made only for yours truly. however, the second endeavor of the week was in consideration of those hard-working folks in the lab where i work. Yes, today was our holiday party and I couldn't help but take advantage of the opportunity to bake CAKE.

i selected with the best carrot cake recipe ever - 3 layers of carrot cake goodness filled with raisans. I started the recipe before heading out for time with amazing friends wed nite.

The filling - a pecan based creamy caramel type glaze - quite delicious. it needs to chill overnight so i left the rest for the morning. it was a late late night - actually early morning so i finished when i got home!

the frosting - classic cream cheese.

3 layers of cake, icing, cream, butter, sugar filled goodness and all that was left was a mere few pieces. ironically i didn't even try it till tonight. it's seriously filling. you can stop drooling now, as it's quite unbecoming :) be nice and maybe i'll make you a cake too!
