- 2 flat tires, followed by a hard fall on black ice monday left me sore and banged up.
- Been feeling generally tired and a bit down with the COLD-ass weather, not riding, long work days and late nights. the gym doesn't quite do it like the woods does.
Today, with a temp of about 25 and windchill of 7, I ventured out alone in the woods on the cadillac of bikes - a demo full squish giant. and i mean FULL SQUISH. this thing was ridiculously comfortable. I needed a solo ride today; and oh how good it felt. The woods were silent, the trails, cold-packed thin snow, ice and leaves crunching beneath the knobby tires. She (abagail) was a sweet, smooth ride - while i though i'd hate it, i'm digging full suspension although not so sure how I would feel about it on real climbs like bear gap or seeger. Now i'm more confused as to what type of mountain bike i really want. ugh. help!
anyway the point of this blog was to post some picts! The more I shoot the more I enjoy documenting life as it unfolds. Being passionate about bikes makes shooting others with equal enthusiasm all the more exciting. yesterday, I wasn't feelin' the twisty technical terrain - still sore from monday. So i shot the race. Too bad it was shut down by police due to a lame angry homeowner. no idea it was a private park!
pre race - cowboy gearin' up.
2 of the coolest chics in town!
Kyle & Glover!
it wasn't all cross! there were many mtb's representin'. It's so easy to focus on bright colors - Billy's orange shorts made for an easy target.
WV!! rockin it! Harry pulling through a tight and steep turn.
JL cruising through the bball court - neck and neck with Clayton.
And the end :( i probably should have tried to sweet talk the angry neighbor. I was so focused on shooting though...all picts are here if you care to browse.
