Can't see the second baby bird. Are you sure that there were two babies under a mom bird???
CK - so the second baby is to the RIGHT - you can see it's eye just above the tiny piece of wood. it's really nestled under mom. they do that. mom has a brood patch - a patch of skin that gets real warm... used to incubate eggs. look again :)
