There is so much to see and do in this world - so diverse topographically, biologically, culturally... so diverse in so many ways. it's overwhelming to realize how small we really are and how much there really is to see...
This is george. A close friend of mine. he sees the world with fresh eyes every day. he's been hanging out with me for much of the trip...
and doesn't even realize what he's looking at. he's pretty good company though - doesn't talk a lot, on a mission but then likes to sit and absorb the view.
There are some places and sites that are too magical for words... or pictures for that matter.
and the best part is i'm just getting started. there are many more views, vistas, hikes, explorations, travels and trips ahead... so much more to see and do... i have seen some landscapes that i never would have imagined seeing... from sub-alpine to frigid upland meadows, to steep rocky, sandy, desert like ascents... and of course the peaks and glacier formed domes that line the valley...
just getting started. there is a call for much more exploration in many different places to come...

You should have had those using the lines clean your tent, make you a sandwich and then told them to leave.
That's awesome you got out to Yosemite, Chayo! So jealous! That Valley is hands down one of the most beautiful in the country, if not the world. Jackson Hole in WY (gotta plug right?!) is a close 2nd in my mind. Have fun and good luck with all the cool GIS work you are doing out there!
Thanks Drew! It was an incredible trip. I have a bunch of pictures up now on my website... i'll send em to you and chihiro sometime when you're REALLY bored you can check them out. there are HUNDREDS!! :)
